Clarion-Limestone Area SD (Clarion Co.)

Two state educational facilities have found a way to support and provide live event, lifelong learning experiences for their students.

Professor Andrew Keth from Clarion University in a joint venture with Superintendent John (JJ) Johnson of Clarion-Limestone Area SD and in an attempt to address global amphibian declines is establishing an amphibian research and education facility. The facility is on the Clarion-Limestone campus. A solar panel and 40-foot windmill have already been erected on-site and these two systems generate electricity for the facility. Rainwater shed by the buildings on campus is collected in underground tanks and provides clean, sustainable water.
